WI’s Religious Freedom Amendment Ready for Co-Sponsors

Earlier this week State Rep. David Craig (R-Big Bend) and State Senator Joe Leibham (R-Sheboygan) sent a memo to their colleagues in the state Assembly and Senate inviting them to co-sponsor their proposed Religious Freedom Amendment. The language of the resolution will be the same as what was introduced last session.

This amendment will give Wisconsin the very best legal language available to ensure our religious liberty has the best protection possible. Attacks on religious liberty are increasing.
Getting co-sponsors on the proposal is the first step in making this amendment a reality. The opportunity to co-sponsor ends next Tuesday, May 28.

1.  Please take a moment to call your state representative and state senator today and urge them to co-sponsor and fully support this measure.  Click here to get contact information for your elected officials.  A phone call is the best way to make the contact, but if you can’t call, a personal email from you is also good.

2.  Please sign WFA’s Religious Freedom Amendment–and forward it to others encouraging them to sign. We need as many signatures as we can get in order to make sure the legislators know this is an important issue to Wisconsin citizens.
