WISCONSIN FAMILY ACTION DECRIES SUPREME COURT DECISION ON CONSTITUTIONALITY OF AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

Chief Justice Roberts’ Ruling Deals Blow to Nation

Today’s ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) has dealt a blow to Americans nationwide.  The decision to rule the PPACA as constitutional came as Chief Justice John Roberts shifted his position to the left and joined forces with Justices Sotamayor, Breyer, Kagan and Ginsberg for a 5-4 vote.  While the SCOTUS did not sustain the PPACA as a command for Americans to buy insurance, they essentially opined that the mandate is a tax and within Congress’s authority.  The freedom to choose healthcare providers and services has been slashed.  Elective abortion will now become a taxpayer-subsidized commodity.  Conscience protections have been eliminated.  The tax burden will now descend upon Wisconsin’s middle-class families for generations to come.

Wisconsin Family Action vehemently opposes this decision today and strongly encourages Wisconsin voters to carefully consider today’s ruling on President Obama’s health care law when voting this fall.

Reacting to today’s Supreme Court decision, Julaine Appling, WFA president, stated, “Strong, independent families are our nation’s best resource–bar none. Today’s decision is not only disheartening; it is alarming because the high court’s action has now made it much more difficult for families–married men and women and their children–to either become or remain strong and independent  of government.  Ultimately, this weakens our state and our nation.  It is time for Congress to act on behalf of our nation by standing up for families. Every Wisconsin citizen needs to remember this decision and its anti-freedom impact in this fall’s elections.”

‎”To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves

and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” President Thomas Jefferson

Incensed because they want more money in their pockets instead of the health and wellbeing of the poor and unemployed? Yeah, sounds like a Christian value. WFA is showing its true colors.

  2. William Nicholas Platta says:

The “wellbeing of the poor and unemployed” starts (and ends) with a return to a society ruled by Christian values. That’s what WFA stands for, not money! Wake up and smell the coffee!
